Re: R.I.P.
That's not from an episode, Doug. That's from the 1966 feature film.

Re: R.I.P. Tom Magliozzi
They actually used Tom Magliozi lines from Car Talk to revive his character in Cars 3. From the lines, it was obvious, but it sounded really good.B wrote:, Clack!

I had no idea he was dead. I listened to Car Talk just this morning.

Re: R.I.P.
It's been "Best of" since 2012 when they retired. Tom died in 2014.wease wrote:I had no idea he was dead. I listened to Car Talk just this morning.
NPR is going to make their last Best Of episode in September.

Re: R.I.P.
Yeah, I only figured out that I was listening to "Best Of" when the announced Tom's death. They're pretty good at stitching those together with no reference to the timeframe in which they were recorded.

Click and Clack is the Law and Order of NPR. Chronology in the episodes supposedly exists, but isn't really important at all.B wrote:Yeah, I only figured out that I was listening to "Best Of" when the announced Tom's death. A living link to film history. Gone. His work was massively important to me growing up. Fuck. I can't deal with this one.
