I'm glad they didn't really beat it over our heads that the Lanister soldiers basically offered Arya guest rite. It was juuuust subtle enough that it dawned on us just as it dawned on her.

It was probably my favorite, I've thought about it a lot already. Probably the most effectively they've ever humanized soldiers; Lanister mem are usually painted as huge assholes.

I would love to see more scenes like the Lannister soldier/Hound cabin scene showcasing the plight of the common people during all of this.

So is Eastwatch going to be one of this season's set pieces?

Here's what worries me about the Euron scene (this is all speculation, using some clips from the trailer, but I'll put it under the tag):
Spoiler: show
I'm worried, after one good scene featuring him this week, that Euron isn't long for this world. Perhaps the gift he wants to bring Cersei is Tyrion's head? The trailers contained some scenes of a firey night battle at sea featuring at least Euron and Theon, and part of me thinks that's gonna happen sooner rather than later--by the end of the season, Dany's gotta be on actual Westorosi soil. Perhaps the 2nd half of next week's episode is Euron trying to repel Dany's fleet and failing, but Dany's so beat up that they have to recalulate (with an assault on The Rock, perhaps?). I dunno, just spitballing.

Thought it was over the top, but
Spoiler: show
it was nice to see she wasn't finished with the Freys.

The look on Jaime's face when Euron said "two good hands" was great.

The single family he killed. It was a old man and his daughter.
He didn't kill them, he beat up the father, stole his silver, and told arya they'd be dead by winter anyway. They showed it as one of the opening scenes for the "previously on game of thrones" intro

No one was annoyed by Ed Sheeran? That took me right the fuck out of it. Winter is coming? It's too cold outside for angels to fly.

The only thing that really bothered me was Euron's punk rock attire and black eye liner.
