As I was saying a few days ago, there seem to be a few Maester-conspiracy clues sewn in here. But I think it's going to be Maester-conspiracy-lite (like many things in the show), where they're just trying to help keep things steady as opposed to really trying to fuck things up to turn the world in their favor. Regardless, I'm glad we returned to Sam a few times.

Did anyone else get a Stoneheart vibe for a minute there? In the previously on they cut from Arya cutting Walder's neck to Catelyn getting her neck slit at the Red Wedding. And then we have Beric talking about resurrections and shit...

It's too far, I think. Red Wedding shown in the Previously On was just to get the blood flowing, I think.

I don't think we are getting Lady Stoneheart. I'm ok with it too.

One thing I miss in the show is the Frey's insistence that the Red Wedding was an attack on the Frey's by the Starks.

I loved the song the Lannister soldiers were singing when Arya rolled up.

So, no one else picked up that Arya poisoned them with Arbor Gold?

It pairs nicely (pun intended) with the homage in her final scene last season.

small things like that make me believe that D&D actually read the books or at least opened a reddit thread on Arbor Gold

I loved all the callbacks in this episode. The gravedigger, Arbor Gold, the Lannister soldiers giving Arya guest right. All very subtle, but really well done.
