Only if he doesn't win one for Spiderman: Homecoming.

He was excellent in his role as Sleepy Criminal

Aw Man. Don't show me the most magical part of Star Wars being made. I like sausage. I don't want to know how it's made however

This is one of those things I'll never understand. People get so bent out of shape about this kind of thing and I just think it's so absurd. Whatever. I'm sorry you saw this, dime.

I love seeing so many "fuck Ron Howard for getting me excited about this movie!" sentiments online. He really was the right person to bring in and "fix" this project. Now let's just see if he can help make a good movie out of all of this.

Please don't misunderstand me. Sounded wrong. He's totally and completely showing us he's got this. He's gonna make this awesome. I'm on board.

Ugh. I couldn't think of a director who is less "exciting" than Ron Howard.

Maybe if Garry Marshall came back from the dead to direct it.

I don't disagree. I just mean he did exactly what Lucasfilm needed him to do in terms of the fans at large and damage control. So many people are turning around on this. It's amazing. And, I think, unexpected.

Do you think Spielberg will ever direct a star wars movie before he hangs it up? Is he too close to Lucas?

He's just done Ready Player One. Which will be awesome. Could be his warm up for a Star Wars film

If you need damage control done you probably don't want or need someone who is crazy and exciting. You probably need someone conservative and boring.

Didn't they offer TFA to Spielberg and he turned it down?
