So much for LeBron as leader guy.
Wow.
I mean that has to be personal right? From a professional standpoint it's an absurd move he's making.

I don't think there's a single playoff team that he could go to and be the best player on the team. So basically he wants to go to a trash team and score 28 ppg and not have to bother doing anything else.

I can't wait until this type of stuff strikes the bay area. These super teams never seem to last for more than a few years without imploding due to egos.

He doesn't want to be Lebrons sidekick and then be stuck in Cleveland when LeBron leaves next year. Combination of ego and foresight.4/5 wrote:So much for LeBron as leader guy.

Re: NBA Thread
I get that part, it was already reported that he'd demand a trade if LeBron leaves. This goes well beyond that.verb_to_trust wrote:He doesn't want to be Lebrons sidekick and then be stuck in Cleveland when LeBron leaves next year. He must be pretty sure LeBron is going to leave. I actually get him going alpha and not waiting around for that shit.4/5 wrote:I get that part, it was already reported that he'd demand a trade if LeBron leaves. He wants to go to the Spurs. L-O-L. Yeah, he'd be THE MAN on that team. Easily the best player that franchise has had in years.

He should just ask LeBron where he is going next year and demand a trade there.

Cavs: "Hi, this is Cleveland, today is your lucky day, we're considering trading generational talent Kyrie Irving."
Every team they call: "would lebron waive his no trade to come here?"
Cavs: "this is about Kyrie."

Cavs. "No."
Every team: "wait, LeBron, is that you?"

Re: NBA Thread
What next? Sigh.
Kylie wanting to be the man doesn't surprise me. He signed his extension well before LeBron decided to come back and there have been times where the two clashed. But I thought winning changed all that. I guess Kyrie wants to be like his idol Kobe.

Kyrie doesn't like sharing the ball with one of the best passers of all time. What makes you think he would pass it to a post player and two iso-heavy wings?PHATJ wrote:Monkey_Driven wrote:Nah. Re: NBA Thread
I was being sarcastic. And I don't like that that is why he wants out of Cleveland. But he's an undeniably talented player, and I'd give it a shot with him for sure. If it doesn't work what dd the Wolves have to lose? They haven't been relevant in nearly 15 years. This is the first time since Sprewell and Cassell joined Garnett that any high profile players have wanted to come to MN. This is a surprise and an exciting development. At least it proves that the league has noticed the super talented young players the Wolves have and Thibodeau is motivated to massively improve the roster. Even if Irving doesn't end up in MN, this shows that star players are wanting to be a part of a team with an extremely promising future. And as a fan of the team, that is super cool.Monkey_Driven wrote:Kyrie doesn't like sharing the ball with one of the best passers of all time.
