As in it's a different song: structurally, dynamically, new guitar part, no piano and goes somewhere? Then yes I hope the studio version is better.

I actually think its more interesting than "The End", and it reminds me a bit of... perhaps "Like Clockwork"? (the song, not the album)
I don't know why, but I love these "all-alone" kind of songs, like this, or Speed Of Sound demo or "Im still here". Its heartwarming.

I loved it.

Whoa, aren't you usually a lot more positive than this?
He really is. I would say Wendy Carlos's Twin is one of the most positive posters on RM, I for one am shocked by this blunt display of cynicism.

After a further listen, I'm taking back even this amount of faint praise.

This is terrible.

So, this song has a positive message, right?

That being said, the song has to have some meat to it, especially if you're presenting it that unencumbered. This one, well....it just doesn't have that, to my ears.

I'm very surprised that after hearing three songs from the record, my favorite is Mind Your Manners by a considerable margin.
"Future Days" is the sort of song that would have been fine to put on a charity album for breastfeeding moms, but not the sort of thing you want taking up precious running time on a proper album.

I guess that's a compliment, but seriously, what's going on with this track? Has anyone transcribed lyrics?

This seems like the kind of song Ed would write to play for his wife to get some sexy fun time.

Do you think Jeff and Matt furtively roll their eyes and make obscene hand gestures to each other when Ed brings schmaltz like this to rehearsal?

"Sure, Ed. Sounds great." (makes "wanking" hand motion just out of Ed's field of vision.)

From what I can hear it seems to be a song to his kid(s?). Lyrically it is a nice song with a sentiment I have no issues with. The more I listen the more I like it . I really despise the lyrically melody where it matches the guitar melody. The keys are really cheesy. With clearer lyrics this may end up as a type of lullaby song which is fine.

Matt looks super into the song in that one clip. Seriously, look at him.

I think Stone doesn't even care about anything PJ related anymore. He is there because he have to.

what's worse: the piano, or eddie's expression and swaying during the piano?
