Bands that have fallen the farthest
goldfinger put out a new album yesterday. Christ. Anyway, it got me thinking, which bands have had the biggest falls in terms of quality records? When did it happen? Did they ever recover? I'm sure PJ has a place in this category for many of us.
Weezer springs to mind. The fall after Pinkerton is astonishing. Unfortunately, they've been very prolific ever since.

That goldfinger record has the front man and that's it. It has to suck. Superman was a fun ska song back in the day though...

I haven't heard any "new" Weezer in a long, long time until the other day. Holy shit, do they suck now.

The word "farthest" refers to literal, physical distance, while the word "furthest" refers to figurative or metaphorical distances.

Hmm. Agreed on farthest, but I think further (I've never used furthest) means "in more depth," like, "We can discuss this further." I don't know about metaphorical distances.Simple Torture wrote:The word "farthest" refers to literal, physical distance, while the word "furthest" refers to figurative or metaphorical distances.

What was their high point? BSSM? By the Way was my favorite, but I listened to it this summer and it has not held up for me.PHATJ wrote:Chili Peppers

Probably Californication. At least that was the last I had any interest in.daft twat wrote:What was their high point? BSSM? By the Way was my favorite, but I listened to it this summer and it has not held up for me.PHATJ wrote:Chili Peppers

Never understood the love for the Chili Peppers.
Kiedis is easily one of the worst frontmen in rock history.

Re: Bands that have fallen the farthest
Really? I just listened to it yesterday and thought, "Wow, I forgot how great this album was..." But the flea singing sucked, and there's a track that is way too much like I'm Open. Otherwise, it still holds up.LoathedVermin72 wrote:One Hot Minute for me.
