Buddy Holly & the Crickets would also be a good answer, I'm going to have to do some research.

The Crickets lived. Holly was the only one that died.

Everclear sparkle and fade was really great everything since is really bad
Counting crows August and everything after is a top 20 album for me. Nothing after was even good.
This will be controversial but if I really think about how incredible how it is the best art work of the 20th century and how young and inexperienced they were everything. That came after London effing Calling is a big fall.
Television had a chance to be something it was never realized. Of course there is Billy Ray Cyrus the man that kept Ten from going to one on the charts.

Biggest falls would be John Denver, SRV, The big bopper, Richie Valenz, buddy holly, Randy Rhodes, Brian Jones had the shortest fall

This is a good one. After Morning View, I thought their music steadily declined to the point of unmistakable. In hindsight, though, maybe it was more about my personal music tastes changing... Hard to tell.

Really? I just listened to it yesterday and thought, "Wow, I forgot how great this album was..." But the flea singing sucked, and there's a track that is way too much like I'm Open. Otherwise, it still holds up.

Agree with rudds about Green Day 100%
Yes, Green Day for sure.

Never cared for KoL...

Loved Wolfmother's first album, though, and hated everything I've heard since.

I agree with most bands mentioned in this thread. RHCP being the exception. I've loved everything they've put out since I got into them with Mother's Milk. They recorded around 7 albums worth of material during John's return and that era between 1998-2007 will forever be hard to top for me. I also enjoy the 3 records they've released with Josh Klinghoffer as well.

They want $170 for decent tickets in Greensboro, NC. The first time I saw them in 2000, I paid $20. :shake: Their first 3 records were good. The debut is still my favorite of theirs. Wasting Light did have some good moments, though. I tried to watch Sonic Highways and by the 3rd or 4th episode, found myself wanting to throat punch Dave Grohl.. :P

I also love how he's become the "official" spokesperson for rock n roll..
