Eagle, several long puts going in, drama with a nearly out of bounds ball behind a hill, and that's just Spieth in the last 20 minutes.

It's been good no doubt, but Spieth had a three shot lead to work with. Tough to lose that when you're so good.

Heh, I didn't know that. My initial reaction is I don't like it.

I like the current setup with The Players Championship buffering The Masters and The U.S. Open. Will the British Open be the last major, and still played in July? That also seems way too early to wrap up the majors season. I think if they are going to stick with putting the PGA in May, they should make the U.S. Open as the last major of the year.

What was the motivation for this? Ratings?

Understandable, lame excuse, no one will ever care about the FedEx, nor about Olympic golf.

I actually really enjoyed watching the Rose/Stenson dual in the Olympics last year. They need to add a match play and team component though.
