Agreed.
This was a really solid episode. A lot of fun, and moved the plot along nicely.
I'll go back and read the thread in a minute, but strong episode. They took away some of Dany's overwhelming advantage, and sacrificing the sand snakes to Euron went a long way to establishing him as a credible threat. And the reveal of his ship coming out of the night fog was one of the best shots of the series

Agreed.
This was a really solid episode. A lot of fun, and moved the plot along nicely.
I enjoyed this one a lot, way more than last week; there was a tension that started with Dany's confrontation with Varys that seemed to last through all of the story angles till the end. It's got me itching for next week's episode. Arya stole this episode IMO

She's invading with a foreign army and dragons. The army is made up of barbarian hordes (dothraki) and former slaves (who still live basically slave lives). She is doing this on a claim that she has a right on this land, that she has never lived in.
Yesterday, we could see how she handled Lord Varys. The dialogue between them seemed like one of those things that will become true. That one day he will tell her that she is acting against the people, and she will burn him alive.

And the Targaryens have always been brutal, cruel and warlike conquerors. She's already committed horrible atrocities and murder in her quest for her "birthright". But I wouldn't even say she's evil, she started out good and innocent. But she has been forced down this path from the beginning. When she does something good, she is punished. She's learned precisely all the wrong lessons.
Another thing: She has all the advantages. She has a mountain of dragonglass, dragons, fire and a vast horde. The White Walkers are impossibly outmatched. What threat can they be?
I wonder if Cersei will mimic the mad king's madness and burn one of those sand snakes alive while the other has to reach for a sword. But I am guessing she'll probably just give them to the mountain.
