The Day I Tried to Live just outclasses My Wave in every possible way

The Day I Tried To Live has beaten out giants in every round. It's a great song, but I feel it has met its match here. With My Wave I feel Soundgarden found the sound and energy they had been searching for.

If The Day I Tried To Live wins this tournament, I will be a little disappointed. Nothing wrong with it, but it's just a decent Soundgarden song, lower part of the Superunknown songs.

Probably the two best songs on that album but Day I Tried to Live is the toppermost and should win it all now that Seasons is out.

Biggest draw for me for both of these songs is Ben's bass work.

It's an absolute fucking travesty that he hasn't released more work outside of Soundgarden, he really is one of the great bassists of his generation.
