Reducing press access, inviting and even praising fringe, literally fake news agencies, refusing to call out White violence against minorities...these are not inconsequential events.

It's not just the administration, either, but also the legislators who feel they have some cover and support to do the unthinkable. The health care vote...not the bill itself (is there one?), but the manipulations being used to hide and contort it...is the loudest example. But going after the budget office, for example, should be a huge red flag to anybody.

I'm in mid-Mo, in one of the five counties in this state to blue in the last election. It's not a surprise that Trump is popular in many areas of St. Louis. Up until a few years ago with the Ferguson stuff it was one of the most low-key racist cities in the US. Lots of Catholic, conservative whites all over the area.
