I'm worried the sequel is trying to do too much. Sometimes I just want to play a straightforward open-world action game.jwfocker wrote:I loved shadow of Mordor at first but the shine faded pretty fast.
The sequel looks amazing.

definitely an issue. Zero Dawn was straight forward but still epic. Hard to capture that.Monkey_Driven wrote:I'm worried the sequel is trying to do too much. No, I just read that they are cancelling all orders that were placed.Monkey_Driven wrote:Yours got cancelled?Teeeeeekay wrote:Yes.Monkey_Driven wrote:Nope. Not yet at least.CopperTom wrote:Did Wal Mart cancel those "accidental" preorders on you guys?

Curious as to where you read that. I saw a story on Kotaku that some orders were cancelled, but many were confirmed and the official Wal Mart Twitter account said congrats to a few people who ordered them.Teeeeeekay wrote:No, I just read that they are cancelling all orders that were placed.Monkey_Driven wrote:Yours got cancelled?Teeeeeekay wrote:Yes.Monkey_Driven wrote:Nope. They could easily cancel them later, but I think it would be a bad PR move for sure.

i may be biased but this shouldnt have been bottom pagedMecca wrote:start watching at 5:36 and tell me thats not memorableOrpheus wrote:Yeah, you can spawn and fast travel in the towers you unlock. I think they nemesis system would also be more interesting to me if the enemies didn't seem so samey. I never really remember any of the guys in a unique fashion.
Contrasting this game with the Batman games (which share a lot of the same mechanics) also doesn't really help it out for me.

Re: The all inclusive video game thread
I was thinking after hearing some podcasts talk about the N64 Classic that Nintendo could put some 64DD games like Dojin the Giant, F-Zero X expansion, or even Mother 3/3.5 on it. I mean they brought Starfox 2 out for the SNES Classic so why not?

Wasn't the only great game for 64DD, LoZ:OoT Master Quest which was released on GameCube as a freebie?bune wrote:I was thinking after hearing some podcasts talk about the N64 Classic that Nintendo could put some 64DD games like Dojin the Giant, F-Zero X expansion, or even Mother 3/3.5 on it. So, big surprise, Super Metroid is really great. I'm trying to do with a guide and my mind is not in the right place for playing older games. So little hand holding. I've become a weak.

The original is a solid B, definitely limited by the hardware at the time.E.H. Sure, but how many people do you know with a GC?CopperTom wrote:Wasn't the only great game for 64DD, LoZ:OoT Master Quest which was released on GameCube as a freebie?bune wrote:I was thinking after hearing some podcasts talk about the N64 Classic that Nintendo could put some 64DD games like Dojin the Giant, F-Zero X expansion, or even Mother 3/3.5 on it. I also wonder if they will build rumble into the controller or not.

Gamecube has a great library and one of the best controllers of all time.

Re: The all inclusive video game thread
I'm glad I kept it. I used to trade in and sell all my games back then I don't have any of my PS or PS2 stuff anymore. I get a real hankering to play Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb sometimes and its never gonna happen now.
I figured if I ever had kids they might want to play the GC so I kept it which was some epic planning ahead.
