I swear when Jorah shows up all lovey dovey and Jon's like "who the fuck are you" I will lose my shit if Jorah responds "A better knight than you, ser".Simple Torture wrote:Except Jon vs Jorah would be a fair duel.cutuphalfdead wrote:When she refuses him and marries Jon we're gonna have a second littlefinger on our hands.

He's got to have some great purpose for the final battles. However creeptastic he is will never top Bran's current status...Poor dude. That scene between he and Sansa was interesting. It makes me wonder if he sees the darkness within her and that was what sent her over the line? I had a friend that ate too much acid and Bran reminded me of him last night.. I wonder if we'll see the Jon/Bran reunion this season? Arya should be there by next week, I would think? What was up with Varys? I'm torn on whether or not he's actually a traitor now..

Littlefinger's advice to Sansa is pretty much what Bran is capable of: seeing all scenarios at one timejwfocker wrote:Simple Torture wrote:dime's point about Littlefinger and Bran is a good one. Littlefinger likes to imagine every possible scenario that's occurring so he'll never be surprised. Bran can see everything that's going on, so he's never surprised. If Littlefinger finds out, he'll almost certainly try to exploit him.
I would enjoy Littlefinger trying to exploit Bran. That shit will backfire in spectacular fashion.

If Littlefinger could somehow harness Bran, this could turn into a story about the surveillance state really quick.

That was better (and funnier) than the episode we just saw.Simple Torture wrote:True, but no character on the show ever has. Actually HBO did:

Ext. Winterfell - the Godswood
Jon: "What are you saying?"
Bran: "I'm saying that you're not my brother--"
Jon: "You'll always be my brother."
Bran: "But father's not your father, Jon. Rhaegar...our Aunt Lyanna...(Music swells)Jon, you're a Stark...and a Targaryen. A wolf and...and a dragon. Ice...and...ice and fire."

Re: HBO: Game of Thrones (Song of Ice and Fire)
1. I loved all the Dragonstone scenes. Only problem is the time it takes to travel there from Winterfell, compared to other things happening. But ok, let's disregard that. It's tv. Jon, Dany, Tyrion, Varys, so many good scenes. They did the whole kneeling or not well. Worst scenes were the ones about dragonglass, the mood sort of changed in an awkward way.
2. King's Landing was ok. The best scene was the torture scene. Very interesting. I expect there will be a twist there, perhaps an escape. Also a nice little rivalry between Euron and Jamie. Should be fun to watch.
3. Nice seeing Winterfell again, and Sansa doing a great job, then finally reunited with Bran. The rest is meh, he's just too all knowing, even for fantasy. Good he kept the truth about Jon for now.
4. The citadel. Jorah's story makes little sense, perhaps all so that Sam could save him.
5. The battles of Casterly Rock and Highgarden were awful. Too rushed in every way. Bad storytelling as well. But the twist was pleasing.
6. Decent scene at the end with Jamie and Olenna. Strange we didn't see her die.
7. Worst episode this season, but easily the best entertainment around (tv and movies).

To showcase how they are not allies yet. To demonstrate Dany believes she is Queen and Jon is just a Lord. To really drive home their divide.Bammer wrote:But why? They shared a scene together later when she conceded the mining of dragonglass.
