That's possibly not true. The sith had the prophesy too I read somewhere. And it may have actually refered to them. Yoda confirms as much saying the Jedi (in their complacency) may have misread it not having had been threatened or even sniffed a whisp of sith activity in a thousand years.
Yoda. ROTS I think. Mace says he doesn't trust Skywalker. Obi wan says does the prophesy doesn't refer to Anakin? Remember they wouldn't grant him level of Jedi master?
Why am I explaining stuff.

From what I heard, I think they did have a core outline but it featured Leia heavily in the story. Then they diced with the idea of a CGI Leia. So now I think they've had to adjust the outline accordingly and put Luke in a gold bikini.Strat wrote:Hmm. Thorne co wrote This is England which is a really intense immersive series.
Well drawn characters.
This is good news.
'but he’s probably most known for writing the stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, based on a story by Thorne, J.K. Rowling, and John Tiffany. He’s also working on the Warner Bros. graphic novel adaptation Sandman'

The article mentions Colin's first draft. Unclear whether or not that draft will be scrapped entirely.Strat wrote:Hmm. I was under the impression the story was already written and they were ready to begin shooting early 2018.dimejinky99 wrote:Jack Thorne to write Star Wars: Episode IX

They probably scrapped it when they got to the part where Rey crashed on a island full of dinosaurs and befriends a brazen park official played by Chris Pratt.

The above article that YOU posted says there has been no official word yet as to how much of Colin's script is being scrapped and how much is being totally rewritten by this new guy.dimejinky99 wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:The article mentions Colin's first draft. Kylo holding his helmet in that photo is the funniest thing I've seen in days. I can't stop laughing at it.
