I love so much that LV has Mission to Mars in his top 50

I don't even like that movie, and I really enjoy movies about Mars.

It is such a great movie, though.

I always go kinda crazy during the Barnes & Noble Criterion sales. This time, I think my final haul is going to be:

I like looking at the movies, but I dont really see the point of buying discs anymore. The only way I can see that being worth the cash is if I get wind that one of my favorite movies is about to go out of print, and it's future availability is murky.

It's one of the most beautifully directed (and scored) movies I've ever seen. And thematically it hits a very deep personal nerve for me.

New addition. I reworked my top 50 a couple months ago.

I posted a list of my top 100 movies in some thread a while back. It was an alphabetical list. I have no idea if I could actually whittle it down to 25 and then rank them. That would be super difficult.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
