even we dont 100% know that
what would be the point of bran travelling to that exact moment in time if not to hear the exchange between young ned and his sister, then? red herring for the sake of what?
we don't know yet. We know that Jon has dragon blood in him from inference and that should come into play otherwise its a useless narrative. I was more speaking towards Anders saying Jon is the "real heir" which isn't so black and white because for all we know, he is a bastard. A stark and a targaryean bastard, but still a bastard.
as in his parents were not married? I guess so, but if they were, would jon have more claim than dany? I guess i dont follow along in this thread as much as everyone else
If they were married Jon absolutely has more claim. The son of the first son comes before the second son.
Ok, so rhaeygar is the first son of the mad king ? Isn't dany the daughter of the mad king? Maybe im screwing up the blood lines ? Would dany be less of an heir because she's female? Id assume?
Rhaegar is the first son, and heir to the mad king. When he died his children became next in line. It doesn't go to his siblings until all his children (and their children) are gone. So after his kids were smashed against the wall by Gregor Clegane, Viserys (Rhaegar's younger brother and Dany's older brother) became heir to the Iron Throne. When he died on the Dothraki Sea Dany becamse heir.

If Jon is a legitimate child of Rhaegar it was his turn before Viserys and Dany.
thanks for explaining it, pete (not sarcasm)

I know a lot of people are let down that the recent shit GRRM has posted was about the first installment of Fire and Blood instead of WoW, but I'm pretty excited about an official Targ history.

I re-watched that episode last night and the way Shireen was explaining the book to Stannis
Spoiler: show
reminded me of the Bran is the Night King theory. Especially when she said brother vs. brother and dragon vs. dragon.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

His endgame is to

Interesting that the Blackfyres were founded by a legitimized bastard.
