When they showed Catelyn during the episode refresher, I thought for sure we were going to get a Stoneheart showing. But since that didn't happen, what was the point of rekindling he character in the refresh? There wasn't anything major that happened last night that was a direct link to/result of the Red Wedding, was there?

Yeah, I guess that's something, but it still feels like sort of a stretch. I bet they're teasing us with Catelyn for a reveal sometime in the next three eps.

I think all the Lady Stoneheart Truthers out there are going to be incredibly disappointed eventually. I just don't see how she fits into the show's narrative--it really seems like Arya's scene of killing all the Freys this season put a stamp on it.

Yeah, I can't really remember Littlefinger ever shitting himself before, and it's basically happened three times in the past two episodes: when Stupid Maester mentioned there were copies of every raven's scroll, when Bran said his own line back to him, and when he realized how capable Arya is. Last week I said I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to manipulate Bran, and I think we got the start of that this week, but I was surprised how quickly the tables were turned back on him. If he's going to try and make a move to pull Sansa back to his side, he's going to have to do it soon.

Maybe that is his default face.

I think last night's episode was my second favorite after the Red Viper fought The Mountain.

I need to rewatch it, but it was certainly up there. After an uneven start to the season, these last two episodes have been great.

I gave up on it two seasons ago. However,
I did say to my wife last night that the only way I'll give the show a pass for Jamie surviving that battle is if it's Stoneheart that pulls him from the lake. But I promise that's the very last time I come up with some absurd way to firce her into the show.

Earlier in the episode he's talking with Tarly about how thin they're spread and that they should move quickly as they are vulnerable. And Jaime prioritized being nice to the soldiers over getting the fuck out of there. Thought that was a bit out of character, considered all he's learned during the war of five kings.

He doesn't love his brother but he still has some care for him.
