Re: QOTSA is better than Soundgarden
So far on first to seccond listen:
Feet don't fail me - 8
Used to Do - 6
Domesticated Animals - 9 (My fav)
Fortress - 7
Head Like a Haunted House - 7
Un-Reborn Again - 7
Hideaway - 8
Evil has landed - 8,5
Villains of Circunstance - 8,5
It has a real 80's vibe with the sinths work. Fortress is a solid pop song, I'm sure it will be a single.
Domesticated Animals and Feet Don't Fail me are awesome!
Need to listen to Unreborn, Hideaway and Villains again to be sure.
HATED how the drums sounds in this album.

Feet Do not Fail Me Now
Maybe my favorite QOTSA introduction to date ... It may not be the best opening song, but it knows how to prepare the environment for what's coming out on the album. I can not hear this song without wanting to dance or shake my head and the music is perhaps one of the most "heavy" of the album, but damn, that sounds good.
8/10
The Way You Used To Do
Weak. I still think something is missing. It is a song to dance and without foundation. It seems like it never leaves the intro. BUT, it has a nice groove, no denying it.
6/10
Domesticated Animals
FUCK. I loved this song, this build up, the riff, everything! By far my favorite album
9/10
Fortress
I'm still getting used to a love balad by QOTSA. It's good, it just sounds strange in my ears Josh singing that kind of sound.
7/10
Head Like a Haunted House
Ginger Elvis indeed. Perfect blend of Presley with QOTSA, it has a cool, fun, sometimes funny, much more "dancing" beat than Used to Do.
7.5 / 10
Un-Reborn Again
This sinth reminds me a lot of those mid-70s ballads, but I do not know if I really liked the production, especially in Josh's voice. Something did not hook me into this song.
7/10
Hideaway
Same problems with Un-Reborn. Exactly the same problems.
7/10
Evil has Landed
If Haunted House is QOTSA doing Elvis, Landed is QOTSA doing Led Zeppelin. I can almost hear Robert Plant singing in the background. I loved this song, real. A favorite of the album.
8.5 / 10
Villains of Circunstance
Dark ballad, heavy, oppressive. But still, with a sense of hope.
I like it that way.
It's a perfect closure for the album! In the same way that Feet Do not Fail initiates the album to perfection, Villains closes it with the same perfection!

Don't love you Like Clockwork, KL? Because I can't trust your QOTSA opinions if so.

Feels more Vultures than Queens. Like the last one. I like the Vultures though so it's cool.

Is the leak still the crappy one with volume adjustment button noises thrown in it?
