So far this album has 2 okays ( though MYM is growing on me) and a Hate it which isn't the best case scenario but it could be worse.

I hope pearl jam don't construe this as a challenge to make it worse.

I still can't really tell what this songs about. Is he never letting her go cause he loves her? Or Is he never going to be able to let her go even though he wants to because she screwed him over or something. The part's about the weeds don't really sound positive to me.
I'm getting something like....she came out of nowhere and struck him like lightning and he fell hard for her, later realizing that its much more overwhelming being married than he thought, but he loves her and he'll never let her go despite the overwhelmingness of it all...
That makes more sense I guess. I think I'm just trying to make it not just another lovesong.

is it me (or has it been discussed), or does Ed get angry at Mike during his solo?.. Seems he yells, "FUCK!" in his direction, but can't tell if it's anger, or, "FUCK HE'S NAILING THIS!"
There's definitely a FUCK in there but I just thought he was really excited about the lyrical content.

weird lyrics for the music, and not what I heard at first. Could work. I'm giving it a 3 for now.

I thought maybe he was looking at the crowd or a tech or something.

Having a look at the lyrics posted on the previous page, I think it's quite clear this isn't a simple, happy love song. If anything, I'm getting some negative vibes especially towards the end. Seems like the old PJ ploy of combining uplifting music with 'dark' lyrics. Though not necessarily dark in this case but definitely giving off a feeling of something apparently sweet turning out sour. Just my take.

It seems the guys wanting 'edgier' stuff might get their wish if LB turns out to be the 'happiest' song on the album.

I figured he was pissed that the crowd wasn't jumping around like idiots to his new Unthought Known remix after waiting in a small cramped area for two hours and standing in the heat all day .

I'm having trouble with the Lightning Bolt portion of this song. I'm somewhat serious in asking this: Is it possible to change the chorus? I mean, you've got several weeks to do so, right?
