Pearl Jam management, or maybe even the band, can't be liking the results of the poll in this thread.

It looks like it was directed at the the people up front in the pit. Another "Ole in Vancouver moment" where he was pissed that the crowd wasn't more into it. I could be wrong though.harmless wrote:There's definitely a FUCK in there but I just thought he was really excited about the lyrical content.bodysnatcher wrote:when i first listened and heard the opening guitar notes, i thought it was just modern day Wishlist
is it me (or has it been discussed), or does Ed get angry at Mike during his solo?.. Seems he yells, "FUCK!" in his direction, but can't tell if it's anger, or, "FUCK HE'S NAILING THIS!"

Never said they'd be worried about it...I think that comes into play only with ticket sales and album sales, which I'm sure will be fine.VinylGuy wrote:they must be really worried about it.Coach wrote:Pearl Jam management, or maybe even the band, can't be liking the results of the poll in this thread.

Re: New Song: Lightning Bolt
To anyone who has listened to the bootlegs floating around, did Ed make a reference to South American audiences during the show when trying to get people to do "oh ohs!" at the start of one of the songs on Friday? I can't remember which song it was for the life of me, but I swear he said something along those lines (although maybe I was just imagining things after the long delay).KurtLeon wrote:And to hear people doing "oh oh ohh's" during everything.VinylGuy wrote:He should debut those songs in South America to see people alive at a concert.harmless wrote:He should write better songs and then they would be. One of my favorite little details about the latest Buenos Aires boot is how, for like the first three seconds of the song, the crowd attempts to sing the guitar part in "Yellow Ledbetter" before realizing it doesn't work and abandoning it.

Re: New Song: Lightning Bolt
There's parts of this song that i like, but the chorus kills the momentum. If he just said Lightning Bolt once it would be ok. I don't know. Mixed feelings. I do love MYM for what it's worth which is weird because I've always liked the slow to mid-tempo songs better through their career. I like the lyrical content of MYM but Lighning Bolt is cheesy. It's the same reason I couldn't get into Love Boat Captin. The fact that he's says that in the song kills it for me.
