Is there any major house that would shift sides according to their loyalty to House Baratheon? How might Gendry's return be a device to shift larger alliances?

There are plenty of houses sworn to Storm's End, but the show doesn't seem to dwell too much on such things. Like how Dorne, who has a large army by Westerosi standards, basically disappeared earlier this season. Many died under Stannis of course, but we haven't seen Storm's End in seasons now.

There's power vacuums in the Reach, Dorne, and the Stormlands. They are essentially under Lannister control, but with the Tyrell/Tarly, Martell, and Baratheon lines all gone, there's no one to control the lower lords. I think because they decided to rob us of episodes these last 2 seasons, none of it will be addressed. Cersei doesn't really have a lot of friends or people she trusts that could rule over these places that would remain loyal

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I liked the episode. It clearly felt transitional, but they are in the process of wrapping up the story so that'll happen. We've been with these people for 7 years and 80 hours, as Joey said. The motivations for their actions are all clear.

Dorne is as powerful as the North. It's difficult to see in the show, but we know there is a large ruling family there. It would make sense for them to still be a factor in the war. Even if it was Dany trying to convince them to keep backing her.

I really liked that episode - somebody further up said we've had 6 seasons of development, I'm enjoying the more cinematic feel of this season - it's the third act climax.

That said, a lot of it is whooshing by.
