I'm at least 40% confident that the president of the United States is appealing to a well-armed, angry fringe group that he knows will rush to defend him because he'd rather start a civil war than be impeached.

i have often thought this since the election ... when trump was elected he did not have the traditional 'hard-power' establishment GOP/industrial/economic base backing him ... as a result, he needed the gun-toting crazies that much more as a deterrent to disposing of him ...

as obscene as he has been while in office; in terms of inciting violence (racial or otherwise) he has been about a 3 out of 10 relative to language that he uses when he goes full-tilt elsewhere ... if he truly felt existentially threatened and dialed it up to an 11 there would definitely be bloodshed in several towns across the U.S. and aftershocks might persist for some time (action <-> reaction) ... he is basically kim jong un only rather than firing missiles he will fire tweets that turn truck stop keno parlors into ammunition depots for the low-rent revolution
