It just seems incredibly poor form to make fun of a guy whose wife suddenly passed away. If he reacted by asking his favourite band to play a song that meant something to him then so what. Show a bit of compassion. If you're going to take the piss out of people online then maybe you should be able to wear it when it comes back your way.
I can wear it. You just seemed genuinely offended by some shit that happened years ago where even the people involved don't give a shit about it anymore.
Hey if you want to live your life being a creep then go for it. Just don't sook about it when you get called out.
Ah, so shit I've done does bother you. That's cool.

What did you think of the show (and the London one)?

I thought London was great. Ed looks like his wife has him doin some yoga. His voice sounds great. Best quote from London, "Budweiser Gardens, beautiful place, shitty beer" I liked the Chicago show less, mostly because I was hot and tired. It's never fun to sit still in your seat and feel sweat running down your back. The crowd I think was great, the set list seemed a little schizophrenic. Chloe was a highlight for me and I liked hearing bugs. I look forward to a re-listen of both shows.

if it's anything close to the douchbaggery chris h 2's currently exhibiting in this thread, i'd like to hear about it too.

Gentlemen, go grab a glass of Shiraz , put on a warm bath, some candles... And whip out your stat tracker app and have a go. No need to pollute the thread.

Well laughing at someone who has died from an illness isn't cool, that's what I was referring to with the creep comment. But hey if that's how you get your kicks then whatever. The nude photos/lesbian online affair thing is just something that I find funny it doesn't offend me at all. If ChrisH2 had put something like that on a public forum I would have mentioned it too. Don't worry, I'm not picking on you. However if I was you, I certainly wouldn't be so quick to make fun of other people while you've got that still hanging over your head.

Anyways, that Hoosiers guy on the Pit posted a thank you to the band for playing Come Back. It's not the sort of thing I'd ever go on a forum and do but it's nice to see that song helped the dude out in a dark time.

It was a dedication, correct?
Yeah. And I hate to sound insensitive, but they have a lot better songs that they can dedicate to the deceased than Come Back. Light Years would have been soooooo much better.
Do we know if it was the honoree's favorite song or not?

The fan whose wife passed away REQUESTED Come Back. So you can stop sounding like a bunch of jerks now.
Did she come back?
:haha:

Bravo.

Im generally going to stay out of this, but to me it is incredibly "poor form" to use the death of a loved one to draw attention to yourself, to your grieving. Hey look at me, feel bad for me, my wife died! to me is more classless than any joke than can be told in response to it.

So when your wife died unexpectedly how did you calmly and rationally react?

Fuzzcharger is right. That grief, that pain...we can like it or not, but its his way of dealing with the whole thing.
There is not right or wrong. And to point that out, given what happened with that guy, is just selfish and immature.

Go on an internet message board for a rock and roll band and tell everyone about it, obviously.
