X-ray mind is pretty cool. Mad Season is a much better record than I remembered it being

Love, Hate, Love on Live Facelift is one of Layne's great vocal performances.

Mad Season > most Alice in Chains albums

and by that I mean it's better than the reunion stuff and Facelift.

Dirt and Jar of Flies are better than Mad Season. The rest? No.

X-Ray mind is a cool song, maybe even a little underrated. Can do well in this tournament with the right opponents.

Sap, Unplugged and s/t are also all really solid. Jar Of Flies is in my top five albums.

I think I like Mad Season better than those, except for Unplugged. Unplugged is great and pretty haunting. Layne looks like he's already dead.

Edit: I should probably listen to Sap again. I mostly just remember Got Me Wrong (which is great), so maybe I'd like it better that Mad Season too.

Sap is on another level. A bit short though.

Jar of Flies may be my favorite 'grunge' album that isn't by Pearl Jam

Listened to all of Sap. It's good, like "three and a half good songs" good. I don't think it's better than Above. But it got me listening to Jar of Flies now. What a wonderful album.

I wish they had just stayed with that sound for like two more records

Yeah, that would've been great. It really is a marvelous sound. And I love that it is an EP, easy to enjoy as a collective piece.
