Im generally going to stay out of this, but to me it is incredibly "poor form" to use the death of a loved one to draw attention to yourself, to your grieving. Hey look at me, feel bad for me, my wife died! to me is more classless than any joke than can be told in response to it.

So when your wife died unexpectedly how did you calmly and rationally react?
