Gunn is hinting that Vol. 3 is gonna be last movie about the current Guardians team, and that crew is gonna take over, which sounds like the greatest thing ever. Though I'm skeptical Disney/Marvel will let him do that. Also, Sly is over 70 years old.

Hey, I'm as shocked as you are. Outside of some cringey Shrek humor, this did not operate like cookie cutter Marvel fare. It feels so carefully designed and has so much personality in its visuals, which is all but unheard of with Marvel. The production design, art design, and cinematography are terrific.

James Gunn tweets link to the extended Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 script online:

NME:

Didn't read much of it but there's a few small changes I noticed.

I loved the first movie. My Marvel loving friend told me this movie is bad. But sometimes I disagree with her quite a bit. Will put this on now.

It’s good.
But Thor ragnarok was way way funnier.

It’s been funny, and sort of silly and beautiful at times. Not much of a story. Still 45 minutes left, and the movie feels like it is finished.

Edit: entertaining, but nowhere near the first movie. Looked good though.
