This is Pearl Jam’s strongest album for me. Everything is pretty much great.

They had a great sound at the time, Ed hitting his peak. Stone had a big hand in writing songs, and Ed was really starting to contribute. His lyrics were also very solid. Still not the strongest album for me. Too inconsistent with songs like WMA, Glorified G, Leash, Rats. All good songs, but not top tier like Animal, Go, Rearviewmirror, Small Town, Daughter. Both Ten, No Code, Yield and Binaural were more consistent, while Vitalogy was a lot like Vs, with some amazing top tier Pearl Jam songs at the front, and some middle of the road songs added in.

The songwriting is somewhat inconsistent on this album (though I'd absolutely say that about most PJ records). I don't know that they've ever done a better job capturing their performance though.

Well said. It's also some of Ed's best lyrics. I fucking adore Small Town.

All of that might be true, but I have no desire to hear this song again. Especially in concert.

I only vote on studio versions of these songs. The concert angle has no affect on how I vote. But I do understand why someone would be tired of the song live. I don't agree but I do get it.
