I'm pretty upset I won't be able to purchase this until next month sometime. Could one of you donate or let me borrow money?

On the other hand, I’ll be getting a copy with my X I’m buying this weekend, and I can’t decide if I want to keep it or sell it.

Keep it. It will hold its resale value for a long time.

Not only is this a very well-written and thorough review, it's one of the first reviews I've seen tackle the human cost of making games.

Yeah the Kotaku review was probably the best one I read today. I picked up my copy tonight but I'm so frigin tired tonight that I'll wait till tomorrow to fire it up and do all the pre loading. Most of the (few) negatives I've read so far is the 'over' injection of realism (horses, bathing, eating, etc.) and clunky controls. The first one certainly had it's flaws, just glad to see how positively all the reviewers reacted to the immersion. That's what I'm mainly after and probably my favorite part of RDR1. It's a big plus that there's allegedly a top notch story and soundtrack. Hope ya'll enjoy, I'll post back after I get some play time. Been waiting 7 years for this bitch!

I didn't read through all of this, but what I saw made me very excited. I'm all in now.

Ha, that's interesting, I'd have thought you'd be out. What changed your mind?

It sounds a little bit like MGSV to me, which is a game I found really hard and frustrating and opaque at first but that I LOVED once I got a hang of the mechanics and systems.

My Friday morning New York Times came wrapped in a 12-page RDR2 advertisement.

Someone needs to tell Rockstar that nobody reads newspapers anymore.

But I bet there’s a lot of overlap between people who still read newspapers and people who somehow haven’t heard of RDR2 yet
