Big shitstorm about it. All these people paid extra for the 10c package with early access to merch and turns out they're opening the merch stands to the public a day early.
And four posters? $240 trading cards? $65 for a tshirt?
Are US PJ fans really affluent? Is this why they only play the big coastal populations?
I'd usually go to bat for them but this?
I'm flummoxed.
What early access to merch? The BBQ thing?
Fuck posters, shirts, all of it. You really think you are gonna forget PJ at Wrigley field because you didn't by a poster that says you went? Just possessions. The experience is what matters.

I'm surprised they opened up a merch tent for today and Thursday. Friday afternoon I can understand but people who don't live in Chicago or don't get there until Friday will be bummed.
As for the posters, people like them, and also, they are hot items that get eBayed several times their face value. I can just see locals snatching up the posters and we'll see them on eBay by Friday.

I'm surprised about today, but not tomorrow. After all, they're distributing tickets starting tomorrow, so they figure they may as well make some money from the people standing in line.

Yeah, I've had the impression the last few years that they are, at least the casual to moderate ones. I would bet Friday's show has a very affluent crowd.
dimejinky99 wrote:Good business sense to grow with your crowd I guess.
I've just been informed that people are always asking 10c for more merch and more often.
That makes sense of this I guess.
I don't think anything they've ever put out has ever failed to sell, so I suppose there's that to it as well.
At this point it's just one of those things I personally think is really silly but kinda shrug my shoulders at. If they'd been like this when I was 16 I'd probably either have gotten pissed at them or gone broke (or a combination or the two), but now I don't care. I can laugh at the absurdity of it all in a way I wouldn't have been able to when I was younger.
just hope the storms are truly scattered, and mostly early. If the storms do roll through early, it could break the heat and we could end up with a perfect night. fingers crossed.
i cant imagine the dissapointment if this show is somehow impacted/shortened by weather.

LIGHTNING BOLT
Wait until they have to clear everyone out of the GA section and the people who there 10 hours early end up behind the casual fans who where there a mere 7 hours early. Talk about a storm.
