Ep 6 is a masterpiece of storytelling on its own.

In the comments of the AV Club recap, a reader posits that "Fred" from last night's episode--whose warehouse has the sign "F.T. & Sons"--is based on Fred Trump.

From my friend's FB (he's a political consultant) feed this morning:

"Tip on tonight’s STUNNING Watchmen episode: can you think of any modern US president whose father was named Fred, lived in NYC, owned a delicatessen, and had known links to the KKK?

DELIBERATE, MFERS!!! They even tried to name the delicatessen “Trump’s” but legal killed it."

Apparently reddit had this figured out weeks ago. I came across the theory last week and almost posted it here, but thought it was fooey. Pieces started to fall into place and I realized it was happening probably about halfway through the episode.

There's another theory out there that I am half on board with:
Spoiler: show
It's been speculated that Lady Trieu is actually the Comedian's daughter (aka Laurie's half sister). In the comics, Blake kills a Vietnamese woman who's carrying his baby; Dr. Manhattan stands over her dying body. The idea is that Dr. M. brings the woman back to life, so Lady T. thinks of M. as a father. That's why she tells Angela her father will be there soon.

Someone who probably has access to synopses likely posts these theories. Same thing happened with game of thrones last season

They're gonna have to do some heavy lifting next week to make his return to earth convincing.

Based on HBO's marketing post-episode, you should hurry up and watch episode 7 lest you be spoiled.

Age ain’t an obstacle when you don’t experience time linearly

Watched...well, skimmed...the movie the other day while not sleeping. He does kind of like them young and tires of them as they age. But yeah, the whole linear time thing could be a drag.
