I think my favorite thing in the world is Jim fucking with Dwight. That never got old.

Re: The Office
Yeah, it seems like it. We usually watch 2-3 episodes a night depending on how tired my wife is--she hit a groove around her 2nd trimester and we were watching 6-7 episodes per night. But she's had a rough two weeks at work, so we've slowed down a bit.washing machine wrote:Are we watching at the same pace? I just watched that episode two days ago. What a loveable train wreck.Simple Torture wrote:So many of Michael's storylines are wonderfully painful and funny at the same time. Like when they all go out as a big group and he's funny and charming and sweet to the woman that Jim/Pam are setting him up with. And then Jim lets on that they're trying to set them up, so Michael goes out to the car, changes his clothes, and becomes "Date Mike," who is totally insufferable.

Re: The Office
Most of Season 9 definitely feels distant from what made the show great and its kind of weird to just have some of the characters drop off, or Pam and Jim return to really only having 1 kid.
However, the last few episodes are tear jerkers. I know the show ended a few years ago, but i miss it now!
Such a touching and hilarious show.

Well, its not like they spend time discussing hte kids but they talk a lot about Cici and never once again mention the boy.tragabigzanda wrote:Strat wrote:Most of Season 9 definitely feels distant from what made the show great and its kind of weird to just have some of the characters drop off, or Pam and Jim return to really only having 1 kid.

Re: The Office
Wow, the first episode with Will Ferrell was one of the least funny of the entire series.

Re: The Office
If I'm being fair, I think it was more boring than unfunny, but it was hard to separate the two feelings. I know they probably extended it to a "supersized" episode so they could promote Ferrell's appearance, but it probably would've been better as a 22-minuter.tragabigzanda wrote:Aww, I love that one.Simple Torture wrote:Wow, the first episode with Will Ferrell was one of the least funny of the entire series.

Re: The Office
I like a lot about the Ferrell episodes. He has a handful of funny moments himself, but I love watching Michael's progression from loving him because he's a kindred spirit, to hating him because he's the new boss, to accepting that he's the perfect man for to take over for him.Simple Torture wrote:If I'm being fair, I think it was more boring than unfunny, but it was hard to separate the two feelings. I'll go ahead and eat a bit of crow and say that the other Ferrell episodes were good, especially when he co-hosted the Dundies.
