my favorite new hobby it to buy things from Home Depot that I know I'll only use once for a particular project, using them, then returning them. For instance, just bought four 48" bar clamps to use for a wooden countertop I'm building. Once that glue dries, those things are going back.

You guys buy stuff from Harbor Freight? I love that place.

I'm not so sure on the reliability of their power tools - and, I don't think I'd buy anything significant. But, the place has great return policies. Plus, they always advertise for free mini LCD flashlights with any purchase. Those lil f*ckers work really well and you can never have enough of them.

never even heard of that place, but there's apparently one not far from me. How does it differ from other big box stores?

I would call it a budget box store. The stores aren't nearly as nice as Home Depot or Lowe's. But, for a lot of things you can find really great deals. Like stupid things that you end up buying a lot of - like for me tarps. You can get them for like $2. I was skeptical at first, its a bit of an experience when you first enter one. Its at least worth a visit.

Plus, the free flashlights. And, free tape measures.

Apparently I have a clog in my AC's condensation drainage pipe. This would explain why it a) hasn't been working as well lately, b) the wet spot around the unit and c) water in the pipe. Any suggestions on the best way to clear a clog in a PVC pipe?

Everything I've seen says to use a wet/dry vac, if you've got one. If not, could be cheaper just to call an HVAC guy and pay for it. Probably shouldn't take them more than 15-30 mins if it's not a difficult set up and a basic clog

Usually when I see an ad, there prices seem "too good to be true" I may have to check them out, now.

Plus I always need me some LCD flashlights!

Yeah, searching around online a wet/dry vac followed by a bleach solution treatment looks like it would be easy enough to try it myself before calling in a pro. My parents have a vac so I'll swing by tomorrow and borrow it.

Yeah they draw me in with prices, then I shy away because they are so cheap sometimes.

And it worked!

I accidentally ran over and destroyed my wife's favorite doormat with my lawnmower yesterday. She bought it at a small store, but was able to find it again online today. Have it ordered and am going to try and replace it without her noticing.
