im getting more of a post punk vibe, specially in the drums. Its really weird to hear Trent sing that way in the intro.

I don't mind it but the verses are a little bit grating. Maybe it will make sense in the context of the full album. I read that this and Satellite were the two songs prepared for the Greatest Hits album that Hesitation Marks snowballed from them.

Yeah, post-punk too (although The Cure kinda were a post-punk band really).

It reminds me quite a lot of With Teeth, in its more live sound. But with a bit more... teeth.

Really? sounds really different to me. With Teeth sounds way more polished and produced while The Slips seems like something he finished and released without thinking it too much.

Both albums are very good.

I just mean in the sense that it's less industrial electronics, more live band. The drums are real, the riffs are crunchy, etc. Yeah, there's less polish.

True. I still think Last Exit is coming every time i hear the drums of 1,000.

do not enjoy The Slip like the others

With Teeth is way better imo
