Nice. I've never been to the West Side Theater but I've walked past it a ton. They do weird stuff there sometimes, which is a good thing.

Not weird at all! Swing on by!

I'm seeing David Byrne's American Utopia at the Hudson Theater tonight and I'm very excited about it. I'll be sure to let you all know what I think tomorrow.

This was wonderful. A ton of fun and unexpectedly moving. He also did a song from Love This Giant which I didn't expect and made me super happy.

Alright, so it's far from perfect. But holy shit what a wonderful evening of theatre. These songs mean everything to me and the cast SLAYS! I was a weepy mess through most of it. Such a wonderful night.
And to top it off I get to work at the theatre for a couple of weeks!
I might watch the show every night.

You cried throughout an Alanis Morisette concert?

It's a new Broadway musical that uses Alanis's songs (mostly from the Jagged Little Pill album, but there are also songs from other parts of her catalog) to tell an original story.
The music and lyrics are obviously written by Alanis and Glen Ballard. The book (script) is by Diablo Cody. It's directed by Diane Paulus.

In Bammer's defence, is it that far off a thought of you crying during an Alanis concert?

Oh absolutely not. I've cried every time I've seen her live.
