I am talking about several "Trump supporters" that I know who either don't know about it at all or refuse to acknowledge that it ever happened. It's just as baffling to me as it is to you.

Right, of course. But I'm talking specifically about actual discussions I've had. They often don't even know about it at all. I can't imagine how that is even possible. And if you show them video of Trump saying it, they dismiss it outright. Of course there are people who do know about it but get off on the maddening contrarianism because they think they are driving liberals crazy by living vicariously through his "trolling". But not even knowing about it? That's a different thing entirely. I can only assume that it's the Fox News bubble in action. Like when Trump is being booked into jail and every TV station is showing it except Fox, who are showing footage from a town hall somewhere with African Amercians yelling about reparations and then it switches to the unforgivable crimes of the Biden family.
