Other than maybe one tune in it, I have no idea where you came up with this.

Go see it, Joe. You’ll love it.

I really liked it. There were a few details I didn’t care for, but overall it had some cool surprises and propelled the narrative forward nicely.

This was a mess. They botched the opening with a rushed 5-minute farewell. I'm stunned they screwed that up. The rest of the movie was fine but bloated and not very engaging. The final scenes definitely packed an emotional punch but it was too little, too late for me. Yikes.

This is spot on.

I’m glad you enjoyed it.

There were a couple times where it sounded like two music tracks were playing on top of each other. Other than that, I thought the music was good overall.

I overall liked the movie, but was ANY of that Martin Freeman/Julia Louise-Dreyfus stuff necessary? This movie was long, and each of those scenes stopped the storyline.

Cut it all. Stuff it into a Disney+ show or a Special Presentation.

You act like we didn’t watch Thor leave Ultron to go take a vision bath

In an ensemble flick, I'll accept that, but I didn't like it.

Also, I believe a big piece of that was cut ... for, y'know, time and story.

I watched this on Sunday and everyone was already done discussing it, but I have more to say!

So much good acting in this movie too. Bassett was Oscar worthy. Winston Duke was outstanding.

I have a big crush on Lupita Nyong'o.

My 10yr old doesn't get why Namor had to kill Riri, and frankly, she's right. That's just stupid. Everyone knows that the vibranium detector exists. They'll just build more of them. Riri didn't even build it for them. The US government stole her plans.

Yay for the hero/villain fight being two people with different powers.

Agreed on the Riri character. That whole subplot should've been axed. The final suit looked like something from the Power Rangers. The Big Picture podcast with Sean Fennessey, Amanda Dobbins, and Van Lathan (Van has bad taste -- he thought Obi-Wan and Book of Boba Fett were great) did a good review/recap of the movie and their take is that wreaked of the synergistic and cynical side of Marvel that's focused on expanding their IP and its near-exhausting footprint of interconnected storytelling (i.e. they gotta keep adding to the roster so they've got a steady pipeline of content for the next decade-plus).

I don't mind setup as long as it serves the story (see: a decade of building up Thanos before Infinity War and Endgame). All they seem to be focused on now is coming up with characters that can barely justify a Disney+ show at the expense of their bigger franchises and storytelling. And, ironically enough, they're doing fuck-all to set up Kang as the next Thanos (relative to what they did with the latter)!

Another example is Elaine Benes's inclusion in this -- totally unnecessary distraction. Not to mention the ridiculousness of her being the CIA director and someone we're supposed to take seriously.

I don't know why it's necessary to cram stuff into movies when you can release stuff ad nauseum via D+. Riri was absolutely unnecessary, but her inclusion didn't bother me because it didn't slow down the plot. Maybe I wouldn't have noticed if Namor had just sent his own people to kill her, and Wakanda was there to save her because they had tracked her down for vibranium reasons as well.

Louise-Dreyfus and Freeman were unnecessary AND slowed the story down.

I love you despite all that. :D

I do not begrudge anyone that liked and enjoyed those two shows (I think they were both awful but different people enjoy different things). Objectively speaking, however, I refuse to entertain anyone calling them "great."
