It's not a million miles away from some of the sounds on Infallible. Not sure who played that, or if it's programming for Matt or something.

This is honestly and truly just about the best case scenario for how a 2020 Pearl Jam single might start, as far as I’m concerned. It sounds like it came from an idea, unhindered by any concerns about what you dipshits want from the band and without reference to the catalog past. I’ll be bummed if it turns out not to be real.

Yes. Having a really hard time imagining they’re still capable of that. If it is, best case scenario whether I actually really get into the song or not.

Really want to hear this thing now. Mind will be blown even if that snippet is actually them. Might be some life left in this thing after all.

It's not like this guy just happened to find this clip anywhere, the Bill Simmons connection is a legit hint.

Unless you are referring to Bill Simmons as the random nut job?

Hopeful because it’s so different from what I would expect but just can’t get my mind around it being them. You guys more familiar with Matt and Jeff’s sound getting me intrigued. Any specific tunes by those guys you see similarities with? Thanks.

Would be very cool if they pulled something off going in that direction at this point.

Listen to Matt Camerons Cavedweller or any Wellwater COnspiracy album.

Listen to RNDM's album with Jeff and Joe Arther.

As a somewhat regular listener of his podcasts I do think his introduction is mysterious/cagey enough to be new PJ music.
