There's still a little part of me that's leaning this way. Only in the verses and mainly at the beginning of the song.

Musically I love everything about this.

Wasn't one of the highlights for me initially but I'm really liking this now.

It reminds me in a way of records by people like Steve Earle and Springsteen from 2002/3.

This might be the grand song that EV has been trying to write forever. Unthought known etc.... It just fucking soars without effort.

This should go on and on and on live.

Also Cameron should come off that hi hat for the outro....

This is a really, really beautiful song.

The verses are pure Springsteen.

The verses are absolutely fucking horrible. Incredibly long words, shitty cadence, BORING. The opening jam sounded so cool, like the ending jam of Daughter. Then it goes into the Ed cringe fest. The chorus is quite damn nice, but it's not worth the price of admission for those fucking verses.

Ed should have sang on top of that opening jam instead, could have grooved on that and led into the chorus and back into the jam. The verses kill this song or me.

Have y'all even heard a Springsteen song, it doesn't sound anything like him

Yeah it's like he took the feeling to Unthought Known and fleshed it out into a much more developed track.

Agree with this

Also agree it doesn’t sound like Springsteen at all

I like this song a lot. Wasn't an immediate grabber on first listen, but it has really grown on me today big time. I feel like it perfectly captures the mood and feeling of isolation and what this world is going through right now.

People really need to stop saying "Pink Floyd influenced".

We must have different opinions on what a Pink Floyd influence would sound like

Haven't listened to the album yet, but outsider looking in, this one appears to totally be the most divisive tune on the album bar none.

I definitely hear the Springsteen thing in Ed's delivery.

the verses are absolutely the prettiest highlight of this song and what's supposed to be its climax is underwritten, so that's frustrating

but I'll live with it, because those verses are worth the price of admission
