Really good song, growing on me more and more. It has what I loved about rockers like Grievance, INTERPLAY with the guitars, drums, bass. Cool vocal lines. Progression into an amazingly classic PJ outro.

If this was ripped in 128kbps directly from a lossless source, it would sound better (though not ideal).
The problem is that it sounds transcoded, i.e. ripped from a CD to MP3, burned to a CD-R and then ripped again to MP3.
In doing so, it sounds much worse than a straight MP3 conversion would as the double-encoding introduces lots of phasey sonic weirdness. There's a noticeable lack of clarity compared to even a regular MP3.
Compare the singles here to the official audio on Spotify (on high quality) or YouTube (on HQ audio), it's a pretty big difference.
