It was with these words that our benevolent ruler Stip willed RM into existince for another 15 yearsstip wrote:after youve heard something 1000 times you may not need to hear it again for a while. doesnt make it any less compelling
Sometimes I wonder. It wouldn't be so weird if they only had shared opinions about the band's best work, but they also all seem unable to even entertain the idea that other people could think differently than they do.Strat wrote:I'm pretty certain Release_Me and Tuolomne are just stips second and third accounts
Exact same for me broVinylGuy wrote:My PJ rankings change all the time but both Vs and No Code maintain their status as the two favorites from the band.

I can only speak for myself. I never suggested that I am unable to entertain the idea. Of course I do. I've been here long enough. Pointing out the majority opinion and saying it differs quite a bit from RM is acknowledging that RM is, indeed, different.Brett wrote:Sometimes I wonder. Yea but who do you trust me? The drooling idiots on pearlja.com or the deep thinkers of RM???Release_Me wrote:I can only speak for myself. I never suggested that I am unable to entertain the idea. Sleek yet vigilant.
There are 0 missteps on this record. They feel like "Artists" again. It feels like they care.
I absolutely just love it.

It felt like such a "big" record at the time with the new record deal, massive marketing push, and worldwide tour. Tour was very good, especially after Leg One.Strat wrote:Self Titled was so great because after Binaural and Riot Act....it felt like a shot of adrenaline that the fan base and the band needed. Subsequent tour was incredible.
It hasn't aged that well though.
