Ed needs to stop dying his beard/mustache though....let it go grey man.

yeah, ed's girls was great. And Mike too! i forgot about his Boreland look. It was great.tragabigzanda wrote:That was fun. Loved seeing Ed’s girls, and loved seeing Mike put his visual artistic sensibilities to some use for the band. Mostly it just reminded me how great that song is, and that I’d love to hear this album live.

Why the hell not? Everyone else in the internet can sing live. I don't want dumb tricked up Ed thinking he's dazzling me with his fucking Zippo! What's so hard about just playing a song?!Jorge wrote:Ed was clearly miming yes but I don't think that was the album vocal. He must've recorded his part earlier. But honestly, what's the difference? This performance was never going to be live-live anyway.

Ed was lip syncing, btw.
Terrible!

that's a pretty sick shot right therejohnnyfixer wrote:Lucky us!96583UP wrote:i picture stone having a room in his house with that lighting at all times. he just chose to perform from there today.johnnyfixer wrote:That was baller. Stone don't give a fuck!![]()
I think it's fair to say this whole thing was worth it for these couple of seconds of Stone centre-stage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv9dX55 ... u.be&t=250
Thought I was on acid for a moment there when Bill Gates introduced the band.Iholdthepain wrote:Gush about it now, but tomorrow you're gonna wake up and realize the sheer idiocy of the Electric PJ Acid Test
i'd normally be the first person to 'hate' on PJ for this kind of thing, but i think given the need for vocal loops in that song and the way they have to piece these 'live' performances together anyway it was more enjoyable to see the hokey home music video production. he said it was 'take 3' ...maybe the first one or two were 'live' vocals and it just wasn't worth it.... with little ability to practice together, no 'sound man' to help him during the performance, and the need for layering, it's probably not easy to do that 'live' from home (and be worth something to watch)... plus they wanted to add klinghoffer in there too... because fuck boom, apparentlyIholdthepain wrote:Why the hell not? Because there is a pandemic and they had to record their parts individually? That's what I meant by "not live-live". They can't be in a room together so they're recording apart; already there is some artifice to the performance. What difference does it make if Ed is actually singing on camera or off? Better this than some solo performance of "River Cross" with some extraneous noodling on top by the other band membersIholdthepain wrote:Why the hell not?Jorge wrote: This performance was never going to be live-live anyway.
