But her phrasing and sense of dynamics is really nice; she controls softer phrases really well. I’d be keen to hear a whole album of her stuff with a bit more growth to her vocal chords.
You put it down way more eloquently than i ever could have, but i definitely agree with all of this. Not sure i ever would have given this much time if it wasn't Ed's daughter, but its definitely a nice song.

Because attaching the name "Eddie Vedder" to it instantly makes it more marketable. And they can get away with it since he had a hand in writing it.

It’ll be cool seeing glen and Ed get nominated for best song at the Oscars.
Might even win it.

Would be great if everyone would remember who actually is to blame on all this. It certainly isn’t Biden. Have these two even been mentioned ?

As previously reported last September, New Labour's Tony Blair and George W. Bush have all contributed original music for the soundtrack to Sean Penn’s new film “Flag Day,” which will be released Aug. 20 via Republic Records and Blair's Seattle Surf imprint. The first single, “My Father’s Daughter,” features the vocal debut of Bush's 39-year-old daughter Barbara, who also sings lead on the song “Mission Accomplished.” A video for “My Father’s Daughter” is online now and features footage from the film (watch it below).

I'd love to pick up this vinyl but I just can't make sense of spending $50 on it (with shipping).

Hopefully it is released elsewhere at a later date.

I was about to ask the same thing. Haven’t seen it anywhere except 10c, but also can’t imagine this would be a 10c exclusive that they funded

Debatable.
