I enjoy the "Still Corners" album very much.
Me too. I wouldn't have checked it out if not for this thread. So, thanks, team.
Me three. Some really pleasant tunes on there.
Have u guys tried The Weather Station also?
Not for me. I thought Joey might dig it but it gave me the shits.
Finally got around to this today. I really dig it.

Cheval Sombre is a "New York poet and songwriter". He's released an album Time Waits for No One that is one of a slew of pandemic albums centering around the idea of slowing it all down and perhaps calming your shit. I really like its dreamy, hazy qualities, and certainly it lends itself to a more leisurely pace of things.

'Had Enough Blues' is lovely and has a fade-out with news reports of the French terror attacks at the Battican layered over the top - reminiscent of that Simon & Garfunkel '7 O'Clock News - Silent Night' version.

But here's a little ditty called 'Dreamsong' for y'all to drift a little whiles to.

Don't know anything about Middle Kids. But Spotify thought I'd like their new album that just dropped and recommended it to me. It was fine. Not totally my bag but there were elements that I enjoyed. I could imagine listening to one or two of the songs from time to time.

I like their latest single - something about "Questions" or something.

Crumb have a new song out called "Trophy" (https://crumbtheband.bandcamp.com/track/trophy) and there's presumably an album to follow later in the year. Fans of Pram, Broadcast, or other such artists might enjoy these guys.

Here's the studio cut:

Or, if you prefer, watch them play it live on a rooftop:

Black Midi are back with their second album, Cavalcade, out May 28 on Rough Trade. The first single is called "John L":

The first Black Midi album didn't really grab me, but I like that song a lot.

Wow, this album is just stunning.

I can't imagine anything topping it for me this year.
