It sounded a little too composed and tightly played to be an improv, but I may be wrong. I think it's more likely to be a cover of a song by a band I've never heard of.

That's true. I'm trying not to over excite myself. I mean when the studio version comes out the lyrics could suck and the guitars will probably sound too clean or something but i'm really liking this. The beginning and end especially.

I wonder if they'll play it tomorrow? They could just be playing it to get used to it.

I'd say it's definitely a song and not an improv, it's way too tight for an improv.
