I've been thinking about this idea since the lead-up to the conference championships:
Was the league really bad this year? I mean, more than other years?
It seemed by about mid-year that only 6 teams had much of a shot this season and most teams were some form of "fatally flawed" to "bad" to "Jets."
I'd have listed the 6 teams as:
KC, Buf, Bal, GB, NO, TB
Didn’t see Cleveland making their run. Now 2 or 3 of these 6 teams may need to cut a number of players just to get under the cap, let alone add anything to stay above the fray.

the first half of the year it felt like half the league was 3 wins or less and the season was a wash
then a couple teams turned it on and made things more interesting the back half of the year
TB felt like the only 'new' 'good' team this year - and that really only came together right at the end of the season
it just seemed like there were so few upside surprises in terms of new good teams
maybe BUF but they were knocking on the door
and the other existing good teams were kinda going through the motions
so if things had been stagnating - then mix it up - send FAs all over the place, mix up the QBs, stir the pot - and see if anyone else can 'pull a Tampa'

yes but they had early games vs. the lions and the falcons - although we didnt know yet that ATL was in self-destruct mode. But I would have characterized them as 'lookin good' but not 'crazy good' early on ... and then, yes they lost a bunch and by mid-year were average

What's funny to me is I never thought Pit had any real chance and they were, what 10-0?

well it was quite a transformation and at this point - and this is a big deal - I
wouldn't have recommended Tom Brady for my people to die in 2021 list

Rooney answered this today. Strange choice, what with him being both immobile and noodle-armed.

Oh please, Jerry, trade for Russ and let Belichick & Kraft sign Prescott. I'd be happy on so many levels.
