A question for the bagel lovers. How can I prevent everything bagel seeds from sticking to my hand and all over the counter when cutting a homemade everything bagel from the bakery?

Get one of these. It’s great. I eat sesame seed bagels and had the same problem.

I am standing in line at a bagel shop that advertises a "Shapiro dozen" (14 bagels.) Is that a common thing in most major bagel markets?

I did. The owner's last name is Shapiro. I wish it was a commonplace thing but alas it is just a gimmick of this particular place. Great bagels, btw.
