I like the track. It's very pretty. The lyrics about the freeway are a little weird, but overall it's very pleasant. Tom Petty vibes.

I havent seen the lyrics yet, but i kinda know whats about and they seem fine.

Will there be more songs about driving or about water?

Yeah, I agree with this, but it's mostly the first verse that is jarring like that. Overall, I'd just rate this song as "inoffensive."

Cool though that's he's been actively writing music. I'm sure there'll be one song that I dig quite a bit on the album. That's really all I'm hopeful for.

also 2020-2021 were so good in terms of music from these guys....

Gigaton, Painted Shield, Jeff´s album and ep, Flag Day and this one....

Josh solo is fine. Im not sure the song calls for something out of this world at all.

Also, its a rock song that cites Petty, but dad´s rock? im not even sure whats that.

I take it as vanilla and inoffensive radio rock? But honestly its music made my a dad who's pushing 60 for an audience that i'd expect in large part to be 40+...im not sure what else we should be expecting here?
