Cloakroom. Where did these guys come from? This whole album is flooring me today. Heavy and slow. Shoegazey vocals but the music would fit easily into a Hum type playlist. The title track is my favorite, but I can't find a YT video for it.
I guess this is the "single"?

Re: Albums of 2022
"The Long Road North" by Cult of Luna has exceeded my expectations; yeah it's heavy but it's also some of the prettiest, most uplifting stuff they've put to record, and has long stretches without vocals in a way that reminds me of "Eternal Kingdom", their best album
the production and arrangement has texture in all the best ways

They sound so "Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever" on everything they do. This is not a bad thing.

Listening now. I like it, don't love it. But it also seems like a grower.VinylGuy wrote:i liked the new Mitski well enough.

Me, too. I love what I have heard, though. I think she'll end up being a major artist for me once I dive in.VinylGuy wrote:I need to dive more into her earlier stuffepilogue wrote:Listening now. Re: Albums of 2022
Will that Big Thief album just come out already. It's crazy that 8 singles were released before the album was out, and there's still 12 songs left to hear.
Looking forward to hearing the whole thing.
