I take back what I said about Buffalo.
With no QB, they are gonna be terrible this year and in the running for a top 5 draft pick.
Poor CJ...I wish he was on a team that could get to the playoffs.

NFL owners cackling and rolling blunts.
It's better than nothing, which I think was a distinct possibility.

Needed something to do to wind down after a long road trip, and I decided to run through a season prediction looking at the schedule. This is what I came up with:
Code: Select all
AFC East W L
1-New England Patriots 13 3
5-Miami Dolphins 11 5
New York Jets 4 12
Buffalo Bills 3 13
AFC North
3-Pittsburgh Steelers 11 5
Baltimore Ravens 9 7
Cincinnati Bengals 8 8
Cleveland Browns 2 14
AFC South
4-Houston Texans 10 6
Indianapolis Colts 9 7
Tennessee Titans 7 9
Jacksonville Jaguars 6 10
AFC West
2-Denver Broncos 12 4
6-Kansas City Chiefs 10 6
Oakland Raiders 3 13
San Diego Chargers 3 13
NFC East W L
1-New York Giants 14 2
5-Washington Redskins 12 4
Philadelphia Eagles 7 9
Dallas Cowboys 4 12
NFC North
4-Green Bay Packers 12 4
Chicago Bears 7 9
Minnesota Vikings 7 9
Detroit Lions 4 12
NFC South
2-Atlanta Falcons 13 3
New Orleans Saints 10 6
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6 10
Carolina Panthers 4 12
NFC West
3-St. Louis Rams 12 4
6-San Francisco 49ers 12 4
Seattle Seahawks 10 6
Arizona Cardinals 1 15
Random thoughts after looking at this:
--Jason Garrett probably gets canned after starting the season 0-7.
--Jim Schwartz probably gets canned after losing to those 0-7 Cowboys the very next week.
--Yes, you read that NFC West champion correctly.
--Sucks that the Seahawks and Saints get left out, but man it sure looks like the NFC is stacked.
--Didn't think I'd have the Steelers winning the AFC North, but getting the Jets and Raiders as non-common opponents proved to be the difference.
--So glad that the Cardinals are in a very tough division--they can then keep Clowney out of the AFC West.
--Playoff predictions are always a clusterfuck, but I'll be a homer and go with Peyton over Eli.

I think the Panthers will win more than 4 games.

So much of their season hinges on Newton maturing. I'm skeptical that it will happen in a significant way. I did end up having the Bucs sweep them if that would change your mind.

If what's alleged of Aldon Smith and Delanie Walker is true in this lawsuit, they both need to be suspended at least as long as Von Miller has been.

Do you think it's possible that these sports owners have actually deluded themselves into believing this?

That's the party line of sports ownership.
Just once I want some city to tell them officially, on record to go fuck themselves. Sports stadiums to not "add" to the community. It's nice, it's a few low wage temp jobs, but these days it's another amenity for wealthy people and people investing in and reselling tickets. If anything the communities deal with more garbage and crap from fans.
It's not a lie if you believe it right? How many can a thons does it take to make up 300 million?
The city is responsible for infrastructure that's it
